The game followed the basic stadium style battling found in the Pokémon Stadium games, but additional gameplay was contained in the form of an RPG narrative mode like the core collection, which allowed Trainers to catch Generation II and Generation III Pokémon in the desolate area of Orre.
In this game, the player character Wes was previously a member of a company named Team Snagem, that had acquired a machine that enabled the user to”snag” another Trainer’s Pokémon as if it were wild. Upon attaining the new location, a pair of dishonest people are only leaving the city with a noisy, wriggling sack in tow. Following this scene, the woman, Rui, becomes the participant’s permanent partner, and will stick to the player during the amount of the game.The game begins with an opening scene depicting the participant stealing equipment from the closely guarded headquarters of Team Snagem, then moving to flee with the Espeon and Umbreon since the foundation explodes. After riding on a strange one-wheeled motorcycle for a while, the player stops at the dilapidated gas channel of Outskirt Stand. After defeating Snagem, Nascour–that the boss of Cipher–is conquered by the player. Afterwards, it is revealed that Phenac City’s mayor Es Cade is actually Evice, the true supervisor of Cipher. After he’s defeated, he attempts to escape; however, fortunately, a Ho-Oh uses Holy Fire to stop himsaving the evening.
Despite the legitimate leader of Cipher below arrest, there is still a post-ending to be completed. Secc, from the Kids Grid, mails the player information about a few interesting characters that wind up telling the participant about several points of interest. Finally , the Snagem Hideout becomes accessible for mining, the Shadow Pokémon Laboratory understands some Cipher refugees to combat, and a hidden Stadium in the Beneath is attracted to the participant’s attention. Pokémon in the game can be purified in a variety of means.
